Give me a REALLY good book recommendation and I’ll be your new bookworm friend for a lifetime! So just to switch up the blog a bit from our usual topics (website/branding), here’s a fun list of books to read if you’re a girl boss or if you know someone who is!
I know some of you may or may not have read Sophia Amoruso’s best-selling book, Girlboss. But what I recommend are some books that may or may not be as well-known, but still very insightful nevertheless. Enjoy!
by Kathleen & Emily
I’ve been following Kathleeen & Emily from their very popular podcast. They’re a fantastic, dynamic duo who has really great advise and tips about being your own boss. They’ve even started offering a new service called the CEO Daykit. So when I found out that all those gem of advise was gonna turn into a book, imagine my excitement! From them I learnt about MVI (minimum viable income) and how to be brave in saying no to things that do not align with my business, to make way to say yes to the right things. And also about taking breaks to fill up my creative well. Wanna learn more? Either get the book or listen to their podcast!
Girl Code: Unlocking the Secrets to Success, Sanity, and Happiness for the Female Entrepreneur
by Cara Alwill Leyba
I chanced upon this book by accident while browsing through Instagram. But reading it opened up my mind to the possibilities of success and happiness as an entrepreneur. I loved it so much that I even bought a copy and gifted it to a dear friend who is also an entrepreneur.
by Elizabeth Gilbert
I found this book when I was looking up the creativity section in my local library. Little did I know it was actually from the same author who wrote Eat, Pray, Love. Hate or love that book/move doesn’t matter, nevertheless Big Magic comes in handy as a creative pick-me-up on days when you’re feeling a creative burn-out or feeling uninspired from the daily grind of work. Trust me on it. You will not regret giving this a read!

You will not find any business advise here, but what you would find is a thought-provoking message about being in the crossroads of a decision that impacts one’s purpose or life direction in general.
This is a story about two roads — Should and Must. It’s a pep talk for anyone who’s chosen Should for far too long — months, years, maybe a lifetime — and feels like it’s about time they gave Must a shot.
And the best part? You can already start reading it here: Elle Luna’s Article
Happy reading everyone!
